Huadian City Museum

Huadian City Museum is an emerging local comprehensive museum. It was first established in 1962 and has been open to the public free of charge since 2009. The museum is now housed within the office building of the Culture and Sports Center.

Facility details: Huadian City Museum is an emerging local comprehensive museum, with a construction area of 1,160 square meters and a usable area of over 900 square meters. It houses a collection of more than 5,000 cultural relics. The museum is divided into three exhibition areas: the first exhibition area, themed “Songhua Riverside · Han-Tang Prefecture,” mainly showcases the important historical development of Huadian from primitive society to the War of Liberation; the second exhibition area, themed “The Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army in Huadian,” highlights the arduous struggle history of Generals Yang Jingyu and Wei Zhengmin of the First Route Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army against Japanese aggression in Huadian; the third exhibition area, themed “My Home Is on the Songhua River,” displays the beautiful and richly endowed four-season scenery and local customs of Huadian.

Historical background: On August 1, 2009, Huadian City Museum was officially established; it opened to the public free of charge on October 1 of the same year.
