Zhuer Mountain

Zhuer Mountain is located one kilometer northeast of Caijiagou Town, Fuyu County, covering an area of 120 hectares with an elevation of 135 meters. The mountain is covered with pine trees, offering lush greenery and well-aligned woodlands. The Lanling River flows east-west at the foot of the mountain’s northern slope, the Beijing-Harbin Railway runs about two kilometers west of the mountain in a north-south direction, and National Highway 102 runs approximately five kilometers east of the mountain in a north-south direction. The Caiyu County-level Highway crosses three kilometers east of the mountain from east to west. All these make the transportation conditions for traveling and vacationing on Zhuer Mountain very convenient.

Over the past few years, due to the fame of the nearby Buddhist temple Ciyun Temple in Caijiagou Town, visitors flock here especially on the eighth, eighteenth, and twenty-eighth days of the fourth lunar month as well as during the Dragon Boat Festival. They first come to Ciyun Temple to burn incense and worship Buddha, then head to Zhuer Mountain for leisure. On the mountain, over a hundred temporary tents are set up, offering barbecues and various uniquely styled snacks for visitors. There are also more than thirty pleasure boats available for rent along the banks of the Lanling River. Particularly on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month and the Dragon Boat Festival, the number of visitors to the mountain reaches nearly ten thousand, including not only locals but also people from outside the county—especially residents from Changchun and Harbin, who come here, some traveling over a hundred li, both to worship Buddha and to enjoy the mountain scenery.
