The Changbai Mountain Nature Museum is located in Erdaobaihe Town, Antu County. Built in June 1986, it covers a construction area of 2,268 square meters. The museum consists of four exhibition halls, displaying the mountain’s landforms, vertical landscapes, natural resources, and their historical and present conditions. It aims to promote the significance of nature conservation for human life, facilitate academic exchanges, educate visitors on scientific knowledge, and enhance the enjoyment of sightseeing.

Within the 190,000-hectare Jilin Changbai Mountain National Nature Reserve, there are over 2,400 plant species, nearly 500 vertebrate species, and thousands of invertebrate species. It is a typical representation of the flora and fauna of the northern half of the Eurasian continent. In 1980, it was included in the international "Man and the Biosphere" reserve network. To meet the needs of scientific research, public education, and tourism, the reserve administration established the Changbai Mountain Nature Museum in 1986. The museum houses over 1,500 animal and plant specimens, accounting for about 60% of the species found in Changbai Mountain. It is also the largest and most comprehensive single-region-based nature museum in China to date.
