The Changbai Mountain Culture Expo City is situated southwest of the county town, in Mingyue Town, the seat of Antu County, and is a key stop for those traveling to Changbai Mountain. The expo city spans a total planned area of 37 hectares, with the current developed section covering 7 hectares. It consists of a central sculpture called "Source of Three Rivers," a musical fountain, the "Sixteen Peaks of Changbai Mountain," relief walls, a bronze-paved pathway, a poetry walkway, a water’s-edge platform, the Pine-Listening Pavilion, an outdoor theater, and a statue of Liu Jianfeng, the region’s first county magistrate. It serves not only as a recreational destination but also as a striking cultural landmark.

The Culture Expo Palace is built within the expo city, situated in its central area. It authentically recreates the formation process of Heaven Lake on Changbai Mountain, showcases the mountain’s geological features, rare species, and forest vegetation, and distills the comprehensive characteristics of Changbai Mountain. It serves as a tangible vehicle for promoting Changbai Mountain culture and presents a vivid panorama of the mountain’s history.

Here, visitors can learn about the history of Changbai Mountain and experience its profound and extensive culture. That’s why we plan to construct the Culture Expo Palace within the expo city. The palace will encompass the geological and landform features of Changbai Mountain, the formation of Heaven Lake, the primeval forests, biological resources, the history of Changbai Mountain, and the legendary tales and evolutionary stories passed down through its historical processes. Changbai Mountain culture is an important part of Chinese national culture. It represents the collective material, political, and spiritual wealth created by the various ethnic groups in the Changbai Mountain region throughout their social and historical development, embodying a high level of productive forces.
