Liaoning University Museum

Liaoning University Museum serves as a science popularization education base.

The Liaoning University History Museum was established in September 1998. It has been designated as a Science Popularization Education Base for Youth in Liaoning Province and a Science Popularization Education Base for Youth in Shenyang City. In 2005, it was recognized as a Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Popularization Base by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Liaoning Provincial Association for Science and Technology.

The base is currently the only history museum among universities in the province, housing over 2,000 cultural relics from the Neolithic Age to the Republic of China period, including bronzeware, pottery, gold, silver, calligraphy and paintings, porcelain, cloisonné, stone artifacts, and lacquerware. Currently, more than 500 relics are on display. The primary forms of science education include guided tours and on-site explanations. The base is open irregularly and free of charge to middle and primary school students, college students in Liaoning and Shenyang, as well as domestic and international scholars and experts. In addition to supporting teaching and research activities for teachers and students, it also offers free exhibitions of cultural relics.
