Bihai Villa

Bihai Villa, located in Ganjingzi District, Dalian, covers a total area of 150 hectares and is 25 kilometers from downtown Dalian. It faces the Dalian Economic and Technological Development Zone across the water. Historically, this was a strategic passageway between Dalian and Jinzhou and a fiercely contested military site. Ancient cannons and the ruins of an old fortress built during the Qing Dynasty still remain here. However, the villa was destroyed by a major fire around 1998 and has since been abandoned, with maintenance and supervision currently undertaken by staff from Dalianwan Subdistrict.

It was most famous for the “Fairyland Garden,” the “Chinese Classical Masterpieces Collection Palace,” and the “Great World Amusement Park.” The “Fairyland Garden” is a seaside sightseeing area based on natural landscapes. The “Chinese Classical Masterpieces Collection Garden” features 38 scenes and numerous character models, vividly depicting exciting moments from the literary works Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Water Margin, and Dream of the Red Chamber. Meanwhile, the “Great World Amusement Park” brings together over ten well-known fairy tales and fables from China and abroad.

The grand and exquisite settings, along with hundreds of cleverly arranged, lifelike characters, vividly present representative legends and stories from various countries and ethnic groups to visitors. The entire exhibition covers a construction area of 5,000 square meters, immersing visitors as if they were part of the scenes, leaving a lasting impression. The entire tour is conducted via a boat ride along the waterways, which is highly entertaining. It allows visitors to gain inspiration and education from the profound and meaningful stories.
