Over the past 50 years since its establishment, it has undertaken 269 national, provincial, and municipal research projects, 12 of which have reached international standards, and 91 have been awarded prizes. The Danong Hundred Fruits Orchard, affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has officially opened to visitors. Its new series of cherry varieties won the United Nations Three-Star Award for Technological Invention, and the orchard produces a variety of fruits such as cherries, grapes, and apples for visitors to pick and taste freely.
