Zaoyuan Park

Zaoyuan Park is located on a small hill at the intersection of Huadong Road and Tianhe Road near the Jinnan Road bus stop in Ganjingzi District, Dalian. The park covers an area of 120,000 square meters, with 80,000 square meters of green space. It features a garden-within-a-garden layout, divided into over ten themed gardens including the Eucommia Garden, Persimmon Garden, Poplar Garden, Qianchun Garden, Cherry Blossom Garden, and Plane Tree Garden. The central plaza at the top covers an area of over 500 square meters in the shape of a plum blossom and is adorned with twelve zodiac stone spheres.

To the south lies a sunken fan-shaped leisure plaza covering 2,600 square meters, with nine jujube trees planted at the entrance as the symbol of the park. To the east, there is an artificial stream stretching 280 meters downhill. On the southern side is an artificial hill featuring scenic spots such as Lansheng (Overlooking the Scenery), Juxian Cave (Fairies’ Abode), Tanyou (Exploring Seclusion), Zide (Finding Contentment), and Xixin (Cleansing the Heart).

The upper section of the stream has two surf zones, while the lower section features an 18-tiered cascading waterfall and a fountain pool at the bottom. The entire park is planted with 156,000 trees and 38,000+ square meters of herbaceous flowering plants.
