Dalian Jade Buddha Temple

The Dalian Jade Buddha Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Jade Buddha Temple is located on the northeastern slope of Chengyuan Hot Spring Villa on Liushu Street, Hongqi Town, Ganjingzi District. The temple features a three-story main hall structure. Though not as grand and majestic as famous ancient temples in renowned mountains, its glazed red tiles exude an extraordinary presence. Large red lanterns hang beneath the temple eaves, with golden tassels fluttering in the wind. Corresponding to this is the black plaque with gold characters above the main gate, displaying the bold single character “天王殿” (Heavenly King Hall).

As you approach the lotus pond near the Jade Buddha Temple, you can hear the crisp and pleasant sound of copper bells. These bells are hung under the layered eaves of the incense burner tower in front of the temple and chime cheerfully with the breeze. To the left, behind glass windows and curtains, the sound of chanting emanates from the chanting hall. To the right is the dining hall, which displays many scriptures and ritual implements. The central incense tower has four levels, inscribed with phrases such as “不二法门” (The Gate of Non-Duality), “和平时间” (Time of Peace), and “华夏常辉” (Everlasting Glory of China). The jade Buddha inside the Mahavira Hall was carved by artisans over a period of one year and three months. The raw material is He River jade from Xiuyan, measuring 2.8 meters in height and weighing 5.9 tons, making it the largest He River jade Buddha in the world to date.
