Ganjingzi Anshan Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Anshan Temple is located on Xiajiahe Beach in Dalian, nestled against "Anzi Mountain," the third highest peak in southern Liaoning. It was first built in the late Sui and early Tang dynasties and has a history of over a thousand years.

Anshan Temple was originally called the Great Temple. Built in the early Tang Dynasty, it features a traditional quadrangle courtyard layout with the main hall at the center, facing south with its back to the north. Side halls flank the east and west sides, and the whole complex is enclosed by surrounding walls. The main hall enshrines the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, while the side halls house the Four Heavenly Kings.

Anshan Temple is situated in the northern valley of the western peak of Anzi Mountain. With a fresh, tranquil, and elegant environment, it is surrounded by lush trees that sway gracefully and are emerald green in color. Behind the temple lie nine peaks, collectively known as the “Little Jiuhua Mountain,” towering into the clouds with overlapping ridges. In front of the temple flows a small stream descending from above, just as an ancient poem praised: “Nine ridges on its shoulders, a stream in your cup.” To the north, the temple overlooks the sea and gazes down upon the Bohai Bay, where mountains and waters blend seamlessly, and the water and sky merge into one hue. There’s also a saying that describes the divine scenery of the rising sun over the eastern hills and the setting sun shining on the blue sea. When spring arrives and flowers bloom, the mountain scenery turns picturesque, the atmosphere serene, with ancient evening bells and incense smoke lingering—a true embodiment of the saying “A sacred temple thrives as all endeavors prosper.” The temple was demolished in 1949. It was rebuilt in July 1995, renamed Anshan Temple, and expanded with a Buddhist school, becoming an important site for Buddhist activities.
