Versatile Nao De Hai Reservoir

In the northern part of Mantanghong Township, northwest of Zhangwu County, bordering Inner Mongolia, there is the Nao De Hai Reservoir, a reinforced concrete structure stretching from southeast to northwest. The dam is 160 meters long, the spillway dam stands 32 meters high, the elevation from the base to the top of the dam is 41.5 meters, and the dam crest is 14 meters wide. The dam crest is an important passage connecting Liaoning and Inner Mongolia.

Mantanghong Town: Mantanghong Township is located in the northwest of Zhangwu County, approximately 47 kilometers (as the crow flies) from Zhangwu Town, the county seat. To the east lies the Liu River, with Dalian Township situated on the eastern bank. To the west, it borders Subaozi Township, while to the south it connects with Hatao and Futian Townships. To the north, it faces the Liu River, across which lies Sanjiazi Township of Kulun Banner in Inner Mongolia. The township covers a land area of 194.5 square kilometers, with a total population of 12,000. It administers eight villages, and the township government is located in Sanyijing Tun.
