The Sandy Sea Qinggou landscape is located at Daqinggou in the northwest of Zhangwu County, on the southern edge of the Horqin Sandy Land, 110 kilometers from Fuxin City.

Rolling sand dunes, fractured canyons, rippling blue waters, vast grasslands, dune vegetation, and rare birds and animals form the rather unique and perfect natural scenery of Daqinggou. Here you can not only admire the mountain and lake views and the world-famous pink-sand dam, but also see silver carp, common carp, crucian carp, and grass carp playing and leaping in the reservoir. Daqinggou is composed of its unique sandy sea and natural springs gushing from the primeval forest, with a total water storage capacity of 2 million cubic meters. The crystal-clear blue water allows visibility to the bottom, with springs gushing upstream and the downstream surface as smooth as a mirror. The lake is broad with long, winding shores and clear reflections, creating a wonderfully magical scene. Attractions such as Flying Peak, Demon-Suppressing Pagoda, Desert Palace, Goddess Juma Statue, Ostrich Park, and Sandboarding Field leave visitors with a sense of endless mystery. Daqinggou has been discovered for its unique natural environment and regional characteristics, giving rise to the “Eight Oddities”: horse-frame houses, earthen plank walls, sand-and-soil walls that never collapse, green grass in the primeval forest even in winter; no flooding even in heavy rains, no drying up even in severe droughts, crows that don’t build nests, and frogs that don’t croak—adding an unfathomably mysterious veil to Daqinggou.
