It is a provincial-level scenic spot in Liaoning Province and a first-class tourist attraction in Yingkou City.

Located two kilometers east of Xiongyue Town, Wang'er Mountain rises abruptly from the flat land, standing 82 meters tall with an elevation of 106 meters. At the summit stands a Tibetan-style brick pagoda called Wang'er Pagoda, built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. From a distance, it resembles a mother standing on the mountaintop, keeping watch over the sea day and night, awaiting the return of her son from afar.

Wang'er Mountain features over ten maternal-themed attractions, including the Statue of the Compassionate Mother, Mother-Worshipping Pavilion, Stepping-on-Mother Stone, Nursing Pavilion, Wang'er Pagoda, Mother-Worshipping Shrine, Mother-Gratitude Spring, Mother's Grace Pool, Mother-Remembering Shrine, Immortal Bridge, Wang'er Mountain Villa, Mother-Son Bridge, World of Maternal Love, and Virtue Garden. In recent years, the construction of the Compassionate Mother Memorial Hall on Wang'er Mountain has made it the only museum dedicated to mothers in China, with an inscription personally penned by State Councilor [Name].

Every year, both domestic and international tourists flock here to pay homage to motherhood. Many esteemed individuals commemorate their mothers through literature, inscribing tributes and biographies to be preserved in the mountain permanently. The "World of Maternal Love" is particularly magnificent, serving as the iconic representation of the motherhood theme throughout the Wang'er Mountain Scenic Area. The vast collection of sculptures, each vivid and expressive, collectively embodies the boundless depth of human maternal love. Every May, during the peak blooming season of fruit blossoms, Wang'er Mountain hosts a "Mother’s Day" celebration. The festival features a rich array of folk activities and cultural performances, attracting numerous domestic and international visitors. Mother’s Day promotes the values of loving one’s mother, hometown, and country. In 1996, both Liaoning Province and Yingkou City designated Wang'er Mountain as a provincial and municipal-level patriotic education base, respectively. The "Legend of Wang'er Mountain," written by Yang Guizhi, was included in the sixth volume of the trial teaching material "Experimental Research on Primary School Chinese Learning Methods" published by Hubei Science and Technology Press.

The Wang'er Mountain Scenic Area enjoys convenient transportation, with the China-Europe Railway, Harbin-Dalian Highway, and Shenyang-Dalian Expressway all passing through the region. In 1998, a tourist train service from Xiongyue to Dalian was also launched. The Bayuquan Port is visible from the area, and the scenic zone is surrounded by orchards. To the west lies the Golden Beach bathing beach on the Bohai Bay; in the central area, there is the Xiongyue Botanical Specimen Garden and the National Xiongyue Plum and Apricot Germplasm Repository; to the south are the Xiongyue Hot Springs and Immortal Island Forest Park. With its picturesque landscapes of mountains, waters, forests, and springs, along with the charm of fruit-growing villages and ancient towns, it serves as an ideal destination for tourism, recuperation, and holidays.
