Hejiagou Ski Resort is situated within Yingkou’s Hejiagou Park, located in a natural valley surrounded by mountains. Thanks to its prime geographical location, it has become one of the outstanding ski resorts in Northeast China. The natural valley setting forms a “microclimate,” resulting in temperatures at the ski resort that are 3–5 degrees lower than in the city during winter. The natural snow remains unmelted for long stretches, covering the entire scenic area in a “silver-white splendor that is especially enchanting,” showcasing the charm of northern China. Hejiagou Ski Resort was meticulously designed by a renowned Canadian ski resort design firm. It covers a total area of 200,000 square meters and features a total of eight ski runs—catering to beginners, intermediate, and advanced skiers. The resort has two chairlifts (one double and one quad), one magic carpet, and two tow lifts, offering strong transportation and reception capacity. Currently, the open ski runs have a total length of 5,000 meters, with an average width of 45 meters, a maximum vertical drop of 120 meters, and a maximum slope of 31 degrees. The layout of the ski runs is rational and compact. Among them, two runs named “Chuyun” (Rising Clouds) and “Feixian” (Flying Immortals), with a combined length of 1,800 meters, feature peak sections with slopes of up to 45 degrees, meeting the standards of high-level ski runs in China. These runs resemble auspicious and sacred hada (traditional Tibetan scarves), gracefully descending from the mountaintop and tracing two elegant arcs across the scenic area, providing you with a comfortable and delightful sensation akin to walking on clouds.
