Former Site of the Moral Society

The former site of the Moral Society is a cultural heritage site protected at the municipal level in Yingkou City.

The former site of the Moral Society is located in Guanghua Community, Xiongyue Town, Bayuquan District, and is currently privately owned. It is a two-story building with walls constructed from dressed stone, wooden doors, windows, and stairs. There are eight eave pillars, an outer corridor on the second floor, and three entrances on the first floor. The building covers an area of approximately 273 square meters. This structure has previously served as a general’s residence, a police station, and an elementary school. With its unique architectural style that is rare in the region, it holds historical value.

In 2012, the Yingkou Municipal People's Government (Ying Zheng [2012] No. 173) designated the former site of the Moral Society as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit. The cultural heritage protection scope and construction control zone announced by the Yingkou Municipal People's Government (Ying Zheng [2013] No. 185) are as follows: the protection area extends 5 meters east, west, south, and north from the outer base of the exterior walls of the former site of the Moral Society; the Class I construction control zone extends 30 meters south, east, north, and west beyond the protection area.
