Chenjiazhuang Village is located more than 20 kilometers west of Wenxi County and is the hometown of Cui Douchen, one of the “Three Loyalists of Southern Shanxi.” During the democratic revolution period, Cui Douchen spread new ideas and culture, exerting considerable influence across Hedong. From July 1943 to January 1948, the Third District Committee and District Government of the Jiluo Area of the Chinese Communist Party, the Jiluo Anti-Japanese Democratic County Committee and County Government of the CCP, the Taiyue Third District Committee, the Third Special District Government, and the Third Sub-district Command, among other party, government, and military organs, were stationed here. A large number of party, government, and military leaders, including Jia Kangjie, Chai Zemin, Jin Changgeng, and Wang Yong, once lived and carried out resistance activities here. To this day, the village still preserves 32 revolutionary sites. After the liberation of Yuncheng in 1947, the party, government, and military organs gradually moved to Yuncheng, and Chenjiazhuang successfully fulfilled its glorious mission.
