In a valley 25 kilometers west of Haten Taha Sumu in Dengkou County, there stands an enormous stone pillar towering majestically toward the sky. This reddish-brown column is 28 meters high and 10 people can encircle its girth. Its shape closely resembles the male genitalia, and locals call it Human Root Peak. There are many legends surrounding this peak. It is said that after Fuxi and Nüwa created humans here, they left their reproductive organs behind; after Mu Guiying tied her horse here, she gave birth to Yang Wenguang; upon hearing this, infertile men and women from the surrounding areas traveled thousands of miles to kneel and worship here, praying devoutly to heaven for the blessing of fertility.
