Wanquan Lake Ecotourism Resort is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Wanquan Lake Ecotourism Resort construction project is a multifunctional resort being developed in phases by Inner Mongolia Yellow River Energy Technology Group according to the resort’s master plan and built to the standards of a national 5A-level scenic area. The resort is located at the junction of Aolunbulage Town and Shajin Sumu in Dengkou County, 58 kilometers east of Dengkou County, 140 kilometers west of Jilantai Town, 270 kilometers north of Wuliji Port, and 140 kilometers from Wuhai Airport. It sits at the heart of key regional attractions including the Tibetan Buddhist holy site Agui Temple, the mysterious natural landscape of Shen’gen Peak, the Virgin Cave, Stone Camel, Er’te Temple, and Dream Canyon, giving it strategic geographical advantages for connectivity both east-west and north-south. Major construction projects include: the Wanquan Pearl Observation Tower, Oboo Prayer Landmark, Gouxin Temple Religious Pilgrimage Area, Galloping Horses Equestrian Entertainment Zone, Photovoltaic Agricultural Eco-Greenhouses, Sand Plant Eco-Conservation Area, Fishing & Leisure Zone, Fish-Watching Island, and Natural Swimming Bar. Phase I construction began in September 2011, and through the completion of supporting facilities across Phases I, II, and III, the resort has been gradually developed into a top-tier national destination integrating dining, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment. The total investment is 494 million yuan, including 149 million yuan for infrastructure, 273 million yuan for main project construction, and 21.84 million yuan for supporting facilities. The resort covers a total area of 33,300 mu, including 16,000 mu of water area and 17,300 mu of land area. The planned construction period spans five to eight years, with 2014 to 2015 designated for infrastructure development, and 2016 to 2020 for the refinement of projects and service systems. The development goal is to achieve national 5A-level scenic area status, making it another premier eco-leisure tourism destination in western China.

Wanquan Lake Scenic Area is located at the junction of Shajin Sumu and Aolunbulage Town in Alxa League, with a planned total area of 33,300 mu, including 16,000 mu of water area. It has been developed as a national 4A-level tourist area themed around “Mysterious Sacred Lake, Eco-Oasis,” serving as an ecotourism destination in western Inner Mongolia and a venue for immersive experiences of Mongolian ethnic culture. The area features the “One Center, One Belt, Three Zones”: the Wanquan Pearl Integrated Service Center, Wanquan Lake Ecological Landscape Belt, Holy Spring Bay Eco-Resort, Oboo Island Themed Amusement Zone, and Bihai Shazhou Livestock & Forestry Industry Zone. The scenic area was rated as a national 3A-level tourist attraction in 2016.
