Love Lock & SanShengGong Yellow River Water Control Project
It was built using six decommissioned steel sluice gates from the water control project, weighing 240 tons and standing 27 meters tall. The structure consists of three main locks — the Ever-Prosperous Lock, the Ever-Sturdy Lock, and the Eternal Lock — symbolizing eternal unity for all people under heaven, the enduring peace and stability of the Yellow River and its water conservancy works, and the everlasting prosperity of the nation witnessed by the timeless river. The Love Lock also serves as a sightseeing attraction, with its body capable of automatic opening and closing.
When unlocked, it can activate the sluice gate, marking the start of the irrigation supply and tourist season in the Hetao region. Visitors can climb to the top of the Love Lock, where in an instant, the rolling dragon-like structure, the grand water conservancy project, and the spectacular desert views all come into view, bringing a sudden sense of openness and awe.
