Located on the northeastern edge of the Ulan Buh Desert in Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia, the Nongken Nalin Tao Hai Farm is one of the key areas for national ecological environment construction. The farm’s headquarters, Hongqi Town, is 40 kilometers from Bayangaole Town, the seat of Dengkou County Government, and 100 kilometers from downtown Bayannur City. The Deng (Dengkou)–E (Ejina Banner) Highway runs through the farm.

Nalin Tao Hai Farm is under the administration of the Bayannur City Nongken Management Bureau. It is a state-owned agricultural enterprise, originally established as the 7th Regiment of the 1st Division of the Inner Mongolia Production and Construction Corps of the Beijing Military Region, and was restructured into a state-owned farm in 1975.

"Nalin Tao Hai" is a Mongolian transliteration, meaning "a place bathed in sunshine" in Chinese.

The farm covers a total area of 125,000 mu, including over 50,000 mu of cultivated land, more than 28,000 mu of forest and fruit orchards, and over 30,000 mu of wetland water surface. The remaining land consists of abandoned farmland and sandy wasteland suitable for afforestation, offering great development potential.

The farm currently has 9 agricultural sub-farms, with a population of 4,100 people living in 1,232 households of 8 ethnic groups: Mongolian, Han, Hui, Manchu, Zhuang, Tu, Miao, and Tibetan. The farm is fully equipped with essential facilities including schools, post offices, industrial and commercial offices, power supply stations, credit unions, police stations, courts, land offices, the Third Water Management Office of the Ulan Buh Irrigation Area, traffic police teams, Nalin Lake Tourism Company, Nalin Lake Forestry Co., Ltd., and the Heavy Media Powder Production Plant of Xinyuan Mining Co., Ltd., as well as various service outlets.

Over the years, the farm has developed agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, sideline production, and fisheries comprehensively. Major crops include wheat, corn, Nalin melons, sunflowers, tomatoes, seed melons, and seed corn. "Wangye Di Licorice" and "Nalin Melons" are regional brand products. Goji berry products have been certified as Grade A green food by the National Green Food Development Center. Apple pears are considered the king of pears, and wheat is classified as high-quality national commodity grain. The seed production industry has been expanding year by year and has become one of the most sought-after areas for seed companies nationwide.

In 2003, the farm was designated by the Farming Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture as one of the first 100 national pollution-free agricultural product production bases. In 2004, it was further recognized as one of the 20 national model farms for pollution-free agricultural products and one of the pilot farms for the quality traceability system.

The farm’s Nalin melon series agricultural products have been rated as regional brand products by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region for their excellent quality. The trademark "Nalin Melon" has been registered with the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (Registration No. 1674707) and has been approved for market entry in Beijing as a safe vegetable. It has also received a pollution-free agricultural product certification from the Product Safety Quality Center of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Within the farm lies Nalin Lake (also known as Aolesun Lake), which stretches 10.8 kilometers in length and 2.6 kilometers in width, with an average depth of over 3.5 meters. The 30,000-mu water surface produces 2,000 tons of high-quality reeds annually. The lake is home to a variety of fish and aquatic animals, including crucian carp, carp, grass carp, silver carp, catfish, crabs, shrimp, and turtles. Over a hundred species of rare birds, such as white swans, egrets, and wild ducks, inhabit the area. The lake also features six islands covering 300 mu, which have potential for developing water amusement parks. Tourism development is currently underway.

In August 2005, the farm’s grass carp, silver carp, and carp also passed the pollution-free certification by the Product Safety Quality Center of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Nalin Lake is an ideal destination for tourism and vacation, as well as a prime location for developing aquaculture.

The farm features ancient tomb clusters and lakes amidst the desert. It was once the site of the Sanfeng County during the Han Dynasty. Today, the farm boasts complete infrastructure, convenient transportation, advanced communication networks, vast land, and rich tourism resources, making it an ideal place for investors and talented individuals to develop and showcase their skills.
