Yingshan Stone Bridge
Yingshan Stone Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Guangdong Province.
The ancient name of Yingshan Stone Bridge was Yuhuan Grand Stone Bridge. Located 200 meters south of the ancient Yingshan Village, it was first built in the 丙戌 year of the Qianlong reign (1767) and has a history of over 200 years. The bridge was constructed using the arch-ring longitudinal bonding method. It runs from north to south, with a total length of 49.85 meters and a deck width of 6.5 meters. The structure consists of three bridges connected in parallel, with a single arch span of 16.9 meters. Since ancient times, merchants have traveled frequently across the bridge, making it an important transportation hub along the ancient Hunan-Guangdong trade route. Yingshan Stone Bridge is currently the largest ancient stone bridge in terms of span discovered in Guangdong Province. In 2002, it was approved as a “Guangdong Provincial-Level Cultural Relic Protection Unit.”
