The former site of the Red Seventh Army Headquarters is a classic red tourism destination.

The former site of the Red Seventh Army Headquarters is located at the Lotus Ancestral Hall in Meihua Town, Lechang City. Facing south and built with brick and wood, it features a flush-gable roof and covers an area of approximately 100 square meters.

On February 1, 1931, Zhang Yunyi, commander of the Red Seventh Army, Li Mingrui, the overall commander, and Deng Xiaoping, the political commissar, led the Red Seventh Army from Guangxi through Hunan into Guangdong, fighting across counties in northern Guangdong including Lianshan, Lianxian, Yangshan, Ruyuan, Lechang, and Renhua. In Lechang, the Red Seventh Army stationed in Meihua Village, with the headquarters of the 55th and 58th Regiments set up at the Lotus Ancestral Hall. The next day, Nationalist forces launched an attack with four regiments. After fierce fighting, to preserve their strength, the Red Seventh Army withdrew from Meihua Village and retreated to areas such as Daping and Hudong. On February 4, they entered the Central Soviet Area in Jiangxi.

In 1978, the People's Government of Lechang County designated it as a cultural relics protection unit.
