The Former Revolutionary Site of the Nanchang Uprising Army and the Red Seventh Army in Daping is a Guangdong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism destination.

Former Revolutionary Site of the Nanchang Uprising Army and the Red Seventh Army in Daping (the main structures include Xinxinshu House, the Yang Family Ancestral Hall, and the Wenchang Pavilion). On August 1, 1927, after the failure of the Nanchang Uprising, Zhu De and Chen Yi led one of the uprising army’s detachments—1,200 soldiers—to operate in the Hunan-Jiangxi border area. On January 7, 1928, they arrived at Yangjiadui Village in Daping, Meihua. The troops camped at the Wenchang Pavilion, the Yang Family Ancestral Hall, and Xinxinshu House in Daping Village, and held a military meeting at Yangjiadui, historically known as the “Yangjiadui Military Conference.” The conference made the decision to “strategically capture Yizhang” and initially outlined the strategic plan for the Southern Hunan Uprising. The seizure of Yizhang under the leadership of Zhu De and Chen Yi (the New Year’s Uprising) marked the prelude to the Southern Hunan Uprising and holds significant importance in the history of China’s revolutionary development.

Daping Village: Daping Village is located southeast of Meihua Town, approximately 7.5 kilometers from the town government center. The village administers 20 village groups, with a total of 770 households and a population of 3,853. In 2008, the per capita income was 3,589 yuan. The total cultivated land area is 2,401 mu, including 1,845 mu of paddy fields and 556 mu of dry land.
