Leishan Xianhu

Leishan Xianhu, also known as the Leishan Reservoir, is an artificial lake primarily used for fish farming, flood discharge, and irrigation. Due to its high altitude and vast water surface, which resembles a bright mirror in the mountains, and its significance as a life-giving source in the eyes of locals, it has earned this name. The lake is located within Donghezi in Hongzhao Township and is the largest body of water in the county, with a total storage capacity of 1,420 cubic meters. Surrounded by mountains, it features expansive waters, a majestic dam, and towering sluice gates, creating a stunning scene of a highland lake. The legend of the Thunder-Cleaved Mountain is still widely told here. The fish produced in this area are famous far and wide, always in high demand. They are naturally raised without feed, making them green, eco-friendly, and pollution-free. Coupled with convenient transportation (the entire route is paved), the lake attracts a constant stream of anglers.
