The Dinosaur Museum opened in 1984 and is located in Dorchester, the capital of Dorset, England, just seven miles from the world-famous Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. This dinosaur museum is the only one of its kind in the UK and has won numerous awards, making it an excellent sightseeing experience, especially for teenagers. Upon entering the museum, you’ll first see a complete skeleton of a Megalosaurus, along with matching dinosaur footprints. The museum also features many life-sized models of real dinosaurs, such as Stegosaurus, Triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus rex. These models are handcrafted using actual fossils and dinosaur bones and allow visitors to touch them.
