The Fleet Air Arm Museum

The Fleet Air Arm Museum is located in Somerset, England, near RNAS Yeovilton, the headquarters of the Fleet Air Arm. The museum sits adjacent to Yeovilton Airport.

RNAS Yeovilton is currently one of the UK’s two main operational airfields for Fleet Air Arm combat aircraft. It hosts multiple fighter and rotary-wing units, including seven helicopter squadrons flying helicopters such as the Lynx, Sea King, Merlin, and Gazelle, as well as three Sea Harrier fighter squadrons. Visitors to the museum can also watch British naval aircraft take off and land.

The Fleet Air Arm Museum houses a collection of 94 military and civilian aircraft used for various purposes, as well as models of Royal Navy ships, particularly aircraft carriers. The exhibits are divided among several galleries: the World War I and Interwar Gallery, the World War II Aircraft Gallery, the full-scale model of HMS Ark Royal (R09), the prototype of the second Concorde, an interactive and photo gallery, and additional displays featuring aviation engines.
