The Manchester Opera House is located on Quay Street in Manchester. Originally named the New Theatre, it was renamed the New Queen's Theatre in 1915 and adopted its current name in 1920. It is the most renowned and popular opera house in Manchester and has become an integral part of the city’s entertainment life.

The Manchester Opera House is the largest opera house in Manchester, featuring a symmetrical classical-style façade. The theatre boasts bold design and grand construction, with a massive hemispherical dome spanning over 100 meters without any supporting columns in the middle. It has a total of 1,920 seats and two cantilevered balconies that can accommodate 500 spectators each. The high stage inside is adorned with circular patterns, measuring 27 feet wide and 42 feet deep, while the large orchestra pit can hold up to 80 musicians. The Manchester Opera House has become a venue for numerous musicals, ballets, concerts, dance dramas, and pantomimes, where spectacular performances consistently attract large audiences.

The world classic hit musical *Ghost the Musical* was staged here from March to May 2011 before moving to the West End theatres, where it received widespread critical acclaim.
