The People's History Museum is located in Manchester and is the UK’s official museum dedicated to collecting, preserving, and exhibiting the history, culture, and heritage related to the British working class. It offers visitors an easy way to learn about the lifestyles of workers over the past 200 years and the “extraordinary history of ordinary people.”

The People's History Museum presents the history of British democratic governance, as well as the history of everyday people in their homes, workplaces, and leisure activities over the past two centuries. Its collections have been designated by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport as among the most important in the UK, including photographs, seals, badges, portraits, and more. The museum’s collection of political cartoons from the 18th and 19th centuries is considered second only to that of the British Museum. Among the outstanding collections are posters—especially over 1,700 political posters related to the Labour Party, the Spanish Civil War, and British politics—that showcase remarkable creativity and imagination. The badge collection includes around 3,000 items from various organizations. Paintings are also a highlight, featuring many portraits of Labour Party leaders and ordinary workers.
