The Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar in Zaragoza is located in the city's Plaza del Pilar and is commonly referred to locally as simply "the Cathedral." It is the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Zaragoza and, as part of the Mudejar Architecture of Aragon, has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This church was constructed on the site of the former Roman forum. Its construction began in the 12th century in the Romanesque style, and over time it underwent numerous modifications and expansions. The building was not completed until 1704 with the addition of its Baroque-style spire. It is a church that integrates multiple architectural styles: the spire is Baroque, the main façade is Neoclassical, the prominent semicircular apse at the eastern end is Romanesque, the interior walls and ceilings feature Mudejar architecture, and the Archbishop’s tomb is in the Renaissance style. Perhaps it is this blend of diverse styles that makes the basilica so distinctive and one of the most admired buildings in Zaragoza. The interior of the cathedral is divided into several chapels, each in different styles and all exquisitely decorated, with magnificent paintings adorning the walls.
