Plaza del Pilar, also known as "Cathedral Square" and nicknamed "the living room of the city," is the central square of Zaragoza, Spain. Its name comes from the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar located on the square, situated south of the Ebro River. Zaragoza’s most famous landmarks — the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar and the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar and the Basilica-Cathedral of Our Lady of the Pillar and the Salvation of the Savior — are located here. In addition to the churches, the square also features the Lonja (La Lonja), the City Hall, the Fountain of Spain, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar and the Savior of the World, and the symbolic tomb of painter Francisco Goya. Among them, the historic Lonja building was constructed in the 16th century in the Renaissance style and is particularly distinctive.

On weekends or special occasions, the square becomes lively and bustling, with the rhythmic beats of hand drums and waist drums prompting onlookers to dance along, creating a harmonious atmosphere. Sometimes, temporary stages are set up for evening performances. The western side of the square is lined with restaurants and bars, offering entertainment options for visitors.
