Huesca is located in the Aragon region in northeastern Spain and serves as the capital of Huesca Province, one of the least populous provincial capitals in the country. The city is well known for hosting the annual Feast of San Lorenzo, its most important festival, which takes place from August 9 to 15 every year.

Huesca is a city abundant in historical relics. Its centuries-old city walls, sacred churches, and quaint castles are all must-sees. The Cathedral of Huesca is a Gothic structure and one of the most photogenic landmarks in northern Spain. Its construction began in the late 13th century and was completed in the early 16th century, with its bell tower built between 1369 and 1423, exuding solemn grandeur. The Monastery of San Pedro el Viejo was originally built between 1100 and 1241 and rebuilt in the 17th century, making it the oldest Romanesque building on the Iberian Peninsula. In addition, St. Lawrence Church, St. George Tower, and the Moncayo Castle are also great places to explore the area’s history.
