The ancient city of Segovia is located about 70 kilometers north of Madrid, the capital of Spain. It is a historic Spanish city and a famous historical site, as well as the best-preserved ancient Roman architectural relic. Segovia is situated on the plateau of Old Castile at the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama, on a steep cape where the Eresma and Clamores rivers meet.

The city of Segovia boasts the Alcázar Castle built in the 13th century and a cathedral constructed in the 16th century. These ancient and beautiful structures are sources of pride for Segovia. The Alcázar Castle features high, thick walls and soaring spires; entry to the castle is via a drawbridge. Inside, there are buildings such as the Throne Hall, the Pineapple Hall, and a chapel. The cathedral stretches 105 meters in length, with a bell tower rising 88 meters high. The central altar screen features an image of the Virgin Mary dressed in silver; the side aisles extend 70 meters, and there are also ambulatories and seven polygonal chapels.

The ancient Roman aqueduct of Segovia, probably built around the year 50 AD, has been remarkably well preserved and remains astounding to this day. This structure is notable for its double-tiered arches, leaving a profound impression and serving as a stunning highlight of the historic city of Segovia.
