Kasteel de Haar is situated in a small town in the province of Utrecht. With the exception of the chapel, the current building dates from 1892 and was designed by the famous Dutch architect Pierre Cuypers. The current castle was rebuilt in 1892; the oldest parts of the original fortress date back to 1391 and were owned by a noble family at the time. Due to the passage of time, the castle fell into disrepair, with walls even collapsing, leading to its reconstruction.

The castle of De Haar is a classic example of a medieval fortress, featuring towering spires, a courtly garden surrounded by a moat, and a red drawbridge—resembling a fairytale dream castle. The surroundings include a drawbridge, flowing water, lawns, and green trees, creating a beautiful and elegant environment. Kasteel de Haar is not only an architectural ensemble but also a treasure trove of art, reflected not only in its building style but also in the many antiques and precious artworks housed within. Beyond being a historical site for visitors to explore, the castle also serves as a venue for European-style classical weddings, a setting for bridal photography in a historic manor, and a garden park for leisure and gatherings.
