Asti is a city in Italy, located in the Piedmont region in the northwest of the country, about 55 kilometers east of Turin on the Tanaro River plain, and is the capital of the Province of Asti.

Asti is known as the "City of a Hundred Towers," with some towers still visible along the old city walls, the most famous being the 13th-century Comentini Tower and the octagonal 13th-century Torre Troyana. Piazza Alfieri is home to a statue of the dramatist Vittorio Alfieri, who was born here, the San Pietro church with its reddish-brown exterior, and other notable buildings.
