Alexandria is a city in the Piedmont region of Italy and the capital of the Province of Alexandria. It is situated on the alluvial plain between the Tanaro and Bormida rivers in Italy, approximately 90 kilometers southeast of Turin, and serves as an important railway hub.

Alexandria is a city worth visiting, not only for its long history but also for its unique cuisine and vibrant social scene. The city boasts several museums, among which the Marengo Battle Museum is the best place to learn about the battle that took place there, while the Museo del Cappello Borsalino is ideal for exploring the culture of Borsalino hats. The Church of Santa Maria di Castello, dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries, is the oldest church in the area, featuring both Gothic and Renaissance styles and is truly spectacular.

Visitors can also admire the Baroque architecture at Palazzo Ghilini, built in 1733, or experience the historical charm of the Alexandria Castle.
