Bra

Bra is a town in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont region, Italy, located 50 kilometers south of Turin and 50 kilometers southeast of Cuneo. It is the birthplace of several notable Italians, including the Italian philosopher Adriana, politician Emma Bonino, and the promoter of the Slow Food movement, Carlo Petrini.

Bra is home to the world's first university of gastronomic sciences, an institution of international standing. The town is the third most populous in the province of Cuneo and is known for its numerous churches and palaces dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Visitors can explore the Church of Sant'Andrea, which dates back to 1682 and features stunning Baroque architecture. Other attractions include the Church of Chiara and picturesque vineyard landscapes.

Since 1990, a cycling race has been held here annually, starting from the center of Bra and looping around the castle and vineyards, covering approximately 161 kilometers, attracting numerous nature enthusiasts.
