Bluefields Beach is a public beach located in the southeastern part of Westmoreland, and is more than just a beach — it's a landmark of Jamaica. It’s a great spot for weekend outings. On regular days, the beach is almost deserted, but it gets extremely crowded during weekends and holidays.

The beach is fairly narrow, about 1 kilometer long, with fine, soft sand, though it does have some small pebbles. Originally, there were no pebbles on the beach — they were brought by Hurricane Dean. The shallow waters of Bluefields Beach make it perfect for swimming, and even when there are waves, it remains safe. The beach doesn’t provide umbrellas or benches, but it is situated in a lush, green area surrounded by trees and plants, so visitors can easily find shade to cool off when it gets hot.

There are many small restaurants nearby, known for serving fresh local fish. Visitors can enjoy the freshest seafood, prepared in a variety of styles to suit different tastes. The most popular dish is the grilled fish, which is flavorful, aromatic, and perfectly cooked.
