Nine Mile Town is located in the parish of Saint Ann. On February 6, 1945, Bob Marley, the founder of reggae music, was born here, and he once rested at the very same spot in the town. Bob Marley’s tomb is situated in this town and is managed by his family. This renowned Nine Mile Town houses many historical artifacts related to Bob Marley, including guitars, medals, and photographs.

Nine Mile Town is the place where Bob Marley’s journey began and had a profound influence on his songs. Another famous attraction in the town is the “Stone Pillow,” a rock upon which he used to rest his head while seeking inspiration for his music. Bob Marley’s body, along with his guitar, is buried in an oval marble mausoleum within a church. Though he has passed away, he is not alone—his guitar will forever be by his side.
