Amazon Theatre
Introduction
The Amazon Theatre is an opera house built in 1896, modeled after the Paris Opera House. It cost $10 million to construct and was funded by rubber barons who traded rubber in Europe for building materials. Today, it remains a dazzlingly opulent opera house.
