Labia Cave
Introduction
When fossilist Peter Lund discovered this cave in 1834, he had not yet realized its historical significance. Experts and scholars have found prehistoric animal and human fossils inside the cave, such as the skull of the "Lagoa Santa Man," confirming that humans had settled in the area as far back as 10,000 years ago.
The cave features several natural chambers, named after the formations of their stalactites, such as the "Bridal Veil," "Waterfall," "Curtain," "Pyramid," "Nativity Scene," and "Tower Clock." The interior of Labia Cave is deep and recessed, with artificial lighting used to highlight the stalactite formations.
