Monumental Axis
The Monumental Axis is located in Brasília, the capital of Brazil, and serves as a key route to the country’s most important government, financial, and cultural institutions. The Monumental Axis has 12 lanes divided between westbound and eastbound traffic. Its most distinctive feature is the median strip, which holds the Guinness World Record for the widest such strip in the world.
