Manitoba Agricultural Museum

The Manitoba Agricultural Museum is located in the Austin community in western Manitoba. Established in the 1950s, it spans 320 acres and is dedicated to collecting antique agricultural machinery and buildings dating from 1900 onward. Its goal is to help more people understand the development of agriculture and the immense contributions it has made to society and national growth.

As the largest museum in Canada dedicated to agricultural machinery, the Manitoba Agricultural Museum currently houses a collection of over 500 pieces of farm equipment. In addition, a small village consisting of more than 20 historic buildings has been integrated into the museum grounds. The museum’s diverse collection of agricultural machinery, representing various eras, includes indispensable tools that have greatly facilitated human agricultural labor.
