The Manitoba Museum was formerly known as the "Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature." Located in Winnipeg, it was established in 1965 and is the largest museum in the province of Manitoba, primarily focusing on the heritage related to humans and nature.

The Manitoba Museum is the largest cultural heritage center in Manitoba and even in the world, and also one of the best museums in North America. The museum features seven permanent galleries: the Introduction Hall, Earth History Gallery, Arctic/Arctic-Alpine Gallery, Boreal Forest Gallery, Prairie Gallery, Nonsuch Gallery, and Urban Gallery, as well as one temporary gallery and the Prairies Gallery, which opened in 1994. This diverse museum is the first in Canada to recreate marine life from 450 million years ago. Visitors can explore traces of sea life from 45 million years ago, admire the 17th-century sailing ships that explored Hudson Bay, and discover the flora and fauna that once lived in the region.
