Hang Li Poh's Well

Introduction

Hang Li Poh's Well is located at the foot of Bukit Cina, and the water is very pure. The well was dug in 1409 by the attendants of Princess Hang Li Poh for her exclusive use. In 1677, when the Dutch occupied Malacca, they walled off the well. It was also once a main water source in Malacca and never ran dry. It is said that anyone who drinks from this well will visit Malacca at least once more, which is why it is also called the wishing well. Many people toss a copper coin into the well, hoping to return again.  Transportation

Hang Li Poh's Well is located next to the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple in front of Bukit Cina and can be visited together with the temple.
