Kawaguchi City

Kawaguchi City is a city located on the northern bank of the Arakawa River in the southeastern part of Saitama Prefecture, Japan. It is the second most populous city in Saitama Prefecture and the most populated among all special ordinance cities in Japan. During the Edo period, it developed as a town centered around Kawaguchi-shuku, a post station on the Nikkō Onari Kaidō highway. In modern times, the city became known for its metal casting industry, but in recent years the metal casting manufacturing industry has declined sharply.

Kawaguchi City is a vibrant city with a large foreign population, making it highly international and currently popular for its diverse industrial culture. Sandwiched between Saitama City and the capital Tokyo, the city has a well-developed commercial sector, with major shopping areas concentrated around Warabi Station and Kawaguchi Station. Near Kawaguchi Station, a wide variety of shops can be found, including chain supermarkets, department stores, and large shopping malls, making it a great destination for shopping.
