Kazo City

Kazo City is a city located in the northeastern part of Saitama Prefecture and is one of Japan’s famously difficult-to-pronounce place names. It borders the well-known Watarase Wetlands, and Japan’s largest river, the Tone River, flows through the city. The area boasts beautiful scenery and is particularly renowned as the “hometown of carp streamers,” producing more carp streamers than any other place in Japan.

Established in 1954, Kazo City is home to Heisei International University. Tourist attractions include the Senpō Shrine, Tamashiki Shrine, Sōganji Temple, Ryūzōji Temple, Shitami Dunes, Kanasaki Ruins, Kōmyōji Temple, and Suiei Park.
