Ageo City is a city located in the central-eastern part of Saitama Prefecture, Japan, blending the atmosphere of a modern urban area with pastoral scenery. It is a well-balanced city where nature and city life coexist harmoniously. Ageo is a livable city and is also home to Seigakuin University.

Ageo City offers many cherry blossom viewing spots, including its Cultural Center, Ageo Sports Park, Hiratsuka Park, Kamihira Park, Inari Shrine, Sōtonji Temple, Maruyama Park, Yatsu Kannon, Ayase Central Park, Tōei Temple, and Jūrenji Temple. Among them, the cherry blossoms at Ageo Maruyama Park have been ranked among the top ten cherry blossom scenic spots in Saitama Prefecture. The park features a 2,800-square-meter iris garden with approximately 70 varieties and around 10,000 iris plants. When the irises are in full bloom, an Iris Festival is held, attracting many visitors.
