The architecture of the arts centre itself is highly impressive, featuring a vast atrium and a hall with a stained-glass ceiling, both well worth seeing.    Introduction  The Victoria Arts Centre (VICTORIAN ARTS CENTRE) has become an iconic symbol of Melbourne, with its towering spire reaching towards the sky. Located on both sides of the Yarra River, it is the city’s largest performing arts centre and a major hub for social and artistic activities in Melbourne. It includes the 115-metre-high spired State Theatre, the Entertainment Centre, George Fairfax Studio, the Melbourne Concert Hall, the Performing Arts Museum, the Westpac Theatre, and the Sydney Myer Music Bowl.

Transport  Cross Princess Bridge from Flinders Street Station, then walk for five minutes along St Kilda Street, and you’ll see the modern archway on your right — the Victoria Arts Centre is inside.
