Situated on the southern bank of the Yarra River in Melbourne, the capital of Victoria, Crown Casino opened in 1977. With its opulent decor and brilliant lighting, it is Australia’s largest casino and among the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.

Crown Casino is the only one in the area that can compare with Las Vegas casinos. It houses 350 gaming tables, 2500 slot machines, and offers 24-hour entertainment, attracting up to 25,000 visitors daily. The casino features the widest variety of games in the Southern Hemisphere, including blackjack, roulette, baccarat, poker, craps, and more. At the center of the casino is a large baccarat area, surrounded by bars, with electronic screens outside the bar area where players can hold a drink, sip, and place bets on the screens.

All patrons are required to dress smartly and formally to enter the casino. However, photography is not allowed, likely to prevent capturing images of people in compromising situations during gambling, which could harm the casino’s business. Crown Casino operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, but closes from 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Christmas Day, Good Friday, and ANZAC Day, reopening at 12:00 PM as scheduled.
