Heide Modern Art Museum is a contemporary art museum located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Established in 1981, it is primarily dedicated to collecting, preserving, and exhibiting artworks created by Australian contemporary artists, attracting over 70,000 visitors annually.

The site of the museum was originally a dairy farm, which was purchased in 1934 by a well-known Melbourne artist. Since then, it became home to some of Australia’s most celebrated modern art painters and served as their workspace until it was transformed into a museum in 1981. The collection includes outstanding works by contemporary artists from the 1930s to the present, such as Sidney Nolan, Albert Tucker, and Arthur Boyd. In addition to indoor exhibition spaces, the museum features an outdoor sculpture park spanning 16 acres, showcasing sculptural works amid a landscape of trees and lawns, where creatively designed sculptures blend harmoniously with the elegant surroundings.
